Big Dipper Art
Ms. Galigos of the Coast Salish, Sliammon Nation.
She was here honoring the local territory, Kwikwetlem, which Coquitlam School District resides. Ms. Galigos came into our class and told a story about how a coyote placed the stars.
This story was followed by an art activity with a coyote, native
designed moon, and stickers to plot the big dipper. Ms. Galigos' presentation was part of our
space unit.
